    The owners of this home purchased a solid build and undertook extensive renovations to transform it into a comfortable, modern space. They have further plans in mind, but for now, are happy to share their special place with you.

    The central living area flows seamlessly between the open-plan lounge, dining space and fully equipped kitchen. With comfortable couches and a large farm-style table seating several guests, this is likely where you will spend most of your time. These spaces open onto a sheltered downstairs courtyard with barbeque (braai) facilities, which include a gas Weber and a freestanding Weber, perfect for meals and gatherings. The courtyard is home to an abundance of birdlife and features a striking leopard tree, adding a touch of natural beauty. Just off the kitchen, a smaller courtyard with a cozy seating area provides another peaceful spot for birdwatching or quiet reflection.

    The home benefits from 40,000L rainwater storage supplemented by municipal supply, as well as a battery-powered inverter providing up to 48 hours of backup with considered use.

    Upstairs, the main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and opens onto a balcony with views across the valley. Please note that this balcony does not have a balustrade and should be used at your own discretion. Two further en-suite bedrooms open onto a small garden courtyard, with a shared balcony nearby - a quiet spot for escaping with a cup of coffee and a good book. Between the bedrooms and courtyards, the home offers several little nooks of peace should you wish to step back from the festivities.

    For younger guests, there is an additional chill room just off the living area, perfect for teenagers or children to have their own space. The laundry area is conveniently located nearby and the trusted housekeeper ensures the home is well cared for. Oh yes, a guest loo too.

    The property is within walking distance of the Bushman’s River and close to coffee shops and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area without relying on a car.

    A gentle 14-year-old cat lives on the property, so guests should come prepared to fall in love - and must love cats! He mostly keeps to himself but will happily accept a top-up of food and water and the occasional pat.

    The housekeeper attends twice weekly as part of the rental, with additional days available for an extra charge if required.
